GVU offering two new online tutoring courses Teachers and others seeking to develop their online tutoring skills should look into the new E-teaching 1 and 2 courses from UNU Global Virtual University (UNU-GVU). Both courses will begin on September 4. E-teaching 1 is designed as an introductory course to prepare educators, lecturers and subject professionals to develop, manage, implement, support and moderate online learning and enable them to become active members of an online community for online tutors. The participants will gain practical experience of logging into and using a virtual classroom, building online learning environments, supporting and guiding online students in their learning processes, and describing, discussing and selecting pedagogical approaches. E-teaching 2 shows participants how to
become a designer, developer and manager of independent online courses or
study programmes. They should be able to transform theories and methods
into practice as well as to evaluate and identify characteristics of
existing learning resources. |
