UNU family welcomes new member – IHDP The International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP), an interdisciplinary science programme dedicated to promoting, catalyzing and coordinating key research on the human and social dimensions of global environmental change, has become part of UNU Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS). IHDP takes a social, behavioural and economic science perspective and works at the interface between science and policy making processes. After having been hosted by the University of Bonn for about 10 years, actively engaging with the local scientific and environmental community in various events including public lectures, workshops and large international conferences, the IHDP secretariat has now become a joint programme of UNU, the International Council for Science (ICSU) and the International Social Science Council (ISSC). The official designation of the new UNU-EHS project is UNU-IHDP. |
