INTECH to host seminar on intellectual property rights UNU Institute for New Technologies (UNU-INTECH) will host an international seminar on Contributions to the Development Agenda on Intellectual Property Rights September 23-24 in Maastricht.
The event, which will be held on the eve of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) general assembly in Geneva September 26-October 5, will bring together leading scholars to discuss the impact of intellectual property rights on the development agenda and how they can help to foster economic growth in the developing world. Keynote speaker will be Richard Nelson, the George Blumenthal Professor of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University in New York. Among the themes to be covered in seminar sessions:
