New issues of Work in Progress, WIDER Angle

The latest issues of two UNU newsletters – Work in Progress and WIDER Angle – have been published recently.

The summer 2005 edition of Work in Progress, published by the UNU Office of Communications, focuses on biodiplomacy with articles on:

Technology transfer under multilateral agreements;
The role of certificates or origin in tracking genetic resources and international governance of access and benefit sharing;
Bioprospecting in Antarctica; and
The role of customary international law in governance of human cloning.

The new edition of WIDER Angle, published by UNU World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) has a feature on WIDER's jubilee conference on the future of development economics.
