United Nations University (UNU) continues to enhance its interaction with other bodies in the United Nations system and strengthen its contributions to the work of the UN, according to the UN Secretary-General's annual report on UNU.

"The university is focusing its work on the core concerns of the United Nations and establishing proper mechanisms to enable it to stay attuned of evolving priorities of the United Nations," the report said.

UNU efforts in peace-building and democratization, sustainable development, humanitarian commitments, natural disaster management, achieving the Millennium Development Goals and human rights represented major contributions to the advancement of knowledge in these areas, the report said.
